Zigor is a Basque bassist based in the Netherlands. Years of living and working across five continents have left their mark on his playing, and you can hear every stop along the way.
He is a founding member, bassist and main lyricist of Adarrak, Thorndale, Vondel and Ferkaad. Nobody told him four bands was a lot, so he kept going, and along the way the bass player became a songwriter.
He also works as a session bassist on other artists' records. That kind of career is supposed to end with you playing on your heroes' albums. His went the other way: Marty Friedman, Andy LaRocque and James Murphy have all guested on his. He still isn't sure how that happened, and he's not asking in case anyone changes their mind.
Right now he's finishing several new albums and touring Europe with Thorndale. You'll find him stage left, exactly where a bassist likes to be.
